Spam Rant
Current mood: working
Category: Web, HTML, Tech

I’m tired of spam. I get about 400-500 pieces of spam email a day. No kidding. It’s because back in the stone age of the web, we used to put our email addresses on web sites. This was way before your grandma started using AOL and AOL started blocking its users from getting email newsletters (that happens ). This was before spammers learned how to harvest email addresses from web sites and from registries. In the innocent days of the Internet. We were running a business and wanted people to be able to get in touch with us. But everyone did it. (I know, any parent will tell you that’s no excuse.)

So now I have to go through every web page I own (not a breezy task, I might add) and change all the text email address contacts to graphics. It’s just a matter of time before they figure out how to read graphics, too. (I don’t know that; it’s just a bit of sarcasm … I hope.) I suppose that will help from this moment forward, but I still don’t know what to do with all the crap I get every day. Well, yeah, I delete it. But I want to stop it from even showing up. I don’t need to lose weight or take a pill to get an erection. I didn’t enter anyone’s lottery. I don’t fall for spoof addresses of banks where I don’t have accounts. I don’t want a Russian babe willing to do … whatever. I don’t know Harriet, Buford, Refugio, or Michel. I don’t open the emails. I dump them. I know that when there are typos in the subject line that the email is probably not from Amazon or Paypal or eBay.

I just want it to stop. I grow fatigued of deleting and deleting and deleting.

If only it were illegal or something …

Wednesday Already
Current mood: lazy
Category: Life

It’s already Wednesday! I’m still in my pajamas and I need a shower. There’re things to be done. Paperwork. Cleaning. Christmas shopping. But it’s 10:30 in the morning and I’m screwing around on MySpace.

What’s wrong with this picture?

Stupid Computers
Current mood: frustrated

I’ve tried three times to add my college to my profile, but it won’t save the information.

I really want to slap this web site.

Personality Tests
Current mood: peaceful
Category: Life

At my book club meeting yesterday we got onto the subject of personality tests. Today I took a Jung – Myers – Briggs personality test. Here are my results:

ENFP – “Journalist”. Uncanny sense of the motivations of others. Life is an exciting drama. 8.1% of total population.
Free Jung Personality Test (similar to Myers-Briggs/MBTI)
